The Independent Media Council (IMC) is a non-profit association of media outlets and aligned organizations committed to defending free speech and a free press. We exist to fight against blacklisting driven by politically biased media monitors that seek to silence viewpoints outside their ideological framework.
We believe that a free press is essential to the pursuit of truth and is fundamental to the American experiment. That’s why we work at the state and federal levels to raise public awareness about media censorship and to advance policies that stop taxpayer dollars from funding efforts to blacklist or suppress independent and conservative voices.
